Abstract

Millimeter-wave (mm-waves) Communications have gotten a lot of attention of research interest over the last few years, as the available bandwidth is likely to be gigabits per second per user. Although mm-waves are easy to use in fixed scenarios such as indoor hotspots and backhauls, using mm-waves in mobile networks where transmit / receive nodes can move has a complex channel structure and coordination between multiple junctions. The possibility of is difficult. To take full benefit of the possibly high millimeter-wave speeds from mobile networks, many technical issues need to be resolved. This white paper describes a comprehensive study for millimeter-wave communications for future mobile networks (5G and above).
