Abstract

Smartphones have evolved into a basic human requirement. PINs, passwords, swipes, and other methods are used to authenticate users on mobile devices. However, existing authentication systems are vulnerable to modern security vulnerabilities. The advantages of graphical image passwords over traditional passwords are that images are easier to remember than text-based passwords. Our emoji-image authentication strengthens the security layer by using double layer authentication of the image, which is the background image, and the selection of the emoji based on the grid position. However, one of our previous works' flaws is the resistance to shoulder surfing. As a result, in this paper, we proposed a new framework in which we integrate our emoji-image authentication with biometric hybrid steganography.
